1. Swachh Bharat Mission (U), Uttar Pradesh has bagged 13 awards in 2022 including, 37 awards in 2021, 20 awards in 2020, 15 awards in 2019, and 3 awards in 2018 for Swachh Survekshan conducted by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. In 2022, Meerut was awarded the “fastest moving big city award” and Kanpur bagged the award for “Best innovation and Best Practices award”.
2. Lucknow, Prayagraj and Varanasi - have bagged top three slots among 47 cities with population of over 10 lakhs in the Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan-2022 (clean air survey) conducted by the Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MEFCC) under its National Clean Air Programme.
3. SKOCH star of governance award for the “Municipal Governance” category conferred upon Varanasi Nagar Nigam, Uttar Pradesh in 2022.
